Rowenaclark tagged me in the Selfie Six challenge! Unfortunately, I’m not a big selfie taker, so I took a couple of new ones today and then found the rest from my uni years that were still lying on my computer! (You can tell which ones those are by the Twilight themes in them… apart from the bottom left. I just wanted to have fun with that one XD)

Sorry for those of you waiting for BatB art and not wierd shots of my face - it’s on it’s way! I tag anyone who wants to have a go!

Dancing baby Groot! <3

I had a day off work today and felt the urge to draw something. So here are VinCat in their epic disguises! (I’m still not over Vincent’s ‘stache!)

Claire - What’s the matter?” I said. “Seen a ghost?”

Frank - “Well, you know,I’m not at all sure that I haven’t…. Well, only a man, really,..Standing down in the road outside…I rather thought he was looking up at your window…. I could see you myself from below. You were brushing your hair and cursing a bit because it was standing on end.

…he wasn’t laughing. In fact, he seemed terribly unhappy about something. Not that I could see his face well; just something about the way he stood. I came up behind him, and when he didn’t move, I asked politely if I could help him with something. He acted at first as though he didn’t hear me, and I thought perhaps he didn’t, over the noise of the wind, so I repeated myself, and reached out to tap his shoulder, to get this attention, you know. But before I could touch him, he whirled suddenly round and pushed past me and walked off down the road.

…It wasn’t his dress that was odd. But when he pushed past me, I could swear he was close enough that I should have felt him brush my sleeve—but I didn’t. And I was intrigued enough to turn around and watch him as he walked away. He walked down the Gereside Road, but when he’d almost reached the corner, he…disappeared. “

Outlander Ep. 1 Preview

Really excited for the premiere of Outlander! I love this book series :D

I’ve been suffering from early-Divergent-release-in-the-US-but-not-the-UK-jealousy syndrome lately. Why do we have to wait longer than you guys??
(Dug this out of my sketchbook in protest! Indian ink brush and fineliner practice done the night before the uk cinema release.)

One of the Year 4 girls at the school I volunteer at on Wednesdays for art lessons told me she’d write me a story if I would illustrate it for her. She’s always been a very adventurous writer for a nine year old, so I told her I’d love to do it.

The story is about a young girl who hears noises outside her bedroom every night and finally decides to find out what’s making them. She meets a beast (who is supposed to look human-ish with spikes on his back, but turned out to look quite hedgehog-y!) who tells her she has powers that make him vulnerable.

I’ve just finished making the final printed thing and I’m going to give it to her just before the end of school today. I’m quite excited to see what she makes of it! :D

I present to you: Stachecent, Oldcent and Blondcent!

(I’m pretty sure Vincent’s fake mustache stuck on top of his real mustache was one of my favourite things about this episode. And I dunno about you guys, but I imagine he’d look good in Cat’s blonde wig, haha!)

After seeing the new promo images, I’m super excited to see Oldcent/Alistair in the finale. So. Much. Hair!

I finished City of Heavenly Fire this evening and even though it was a great book, the thing that actually made me cry was the comic strip by Cassandra Jean of Tessa and Jem’s wedding. It was beautiful but agonising to read at the same time. WIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!

Hey, how do you make the stickers?

Hey! Stickers are really simple to make :D

Once I’ve scanned and digitally coloured my characters I place them all into an A4 sized document in photoshop so there is enough space between each to cut them out leaving a thin white border around the edges. I use a slightly glossy sticker paper that I bought off Amazon that can be sent through my printer like regular paper. Usually, before I print the page of characters, I change the print settings so that it’s on high quality. After the page is printed I leave it a while so the ink can dry, then cut out the images using regular scissors (if there are loads of fiddly bits I sometimes switch to nail scissors which are smaller and can get into those spaces easier.)

I use Polaroid sticker paper, which was the first (and cheapest) to pop up when I searched on Amazon, and it has worked pretty well for me so far. However, I have found that if you scratch the sticker with your nails or something by accident, the ink can get taken off the sticker. There are loads of other brands on Amazon that I haven’t tried yet that could work just as well or better, but they’re a bit more expensive.

I hope that answered your question :)

I bought a new printer a few weeks ago and finally got round to printing some test stickers today, and guys… THE COLOURS! They’re easily 50 times sharper and more vivid than my last batch! <3
